What you can expect: 

Before committing to anything, I will have you fill out a questionnaire to ensure this program fits your needs and that we are indeed a match.  It is important for both you and me to know we will make a good team.

– Intro call (15 minutes) – explain food journal, schedule kick-off call, answer questions   

– Kick-off call (45 minutes) – review food journal and getting started   

Why a food journal? Helps establish specific foods that might be causing chronic inflammation or discomfort.  Also ensures we are incorporating foods you already love to help make the transition to healthier swaps easier.   

– 2 x 30 min calls/zooms per month (or 15 minute weekly depending on your preference). 

– Your own personal student dashboard to store all learning material to access at anytime and help you find what you need easier.  

MONTH 1

How to do it. One FULL month of breakfast, lunch, and dinners planned out by my Living Refreshed program (normally this is a self-guided plan, however, in Living Well we will tailor the first 4 weeks to your specific goalsPLUS bonus recipes and snack ideas provided. Learn to create efficient shopping lists, how to include family, tips for food planning and prepping, and more. 

MONTH 2

Practicing doing it. Assisted shopping (in person or virtual) to help you shop smarter.  Build meal plans together, improve your ingredient reading skills and how to get more meals out of the food you buy.

MONTH 3

Us doing it. Putting it all together.  My assistance throughout the process and ensuring goals are met.

About me...

I am a wife, mom of two girls, homesteader wanna be and brownie lover.  I love food and how it has the capacity to heal us or harm us.  We all value different things when it comes to the food we choose and there is not a one size fits all. While I believe with all my heart that the food we eat should be built from roots, Living on Roots is not meant to prescribe an eating lifestyle to you.

My healthy food journey hasn’t always been where I am now.  When I was a young Mom I could have cared less about what I was feeding my family.  I was just merely trying to survive.  However, little by little I changed things.  I ditched the hamburger helper and packaged meals to learning how to incorporate easier options that would also improve my health.

➡️ I started to shop here and there at farmer’s markets.
➡️ I started to drink less milk and more water when I realized it would help my acne disappear.
➡️ I started getting away to a Jazzercise class for an hour a day 3x a week – just to do something for myself.
➡️ I slowly introduced some veggies into our dinners.
-the kids hated those veggies by the way… but I kept trying.

 

Here is what happened over the span of about 10 years (yes, 10 years!)
➡️  Vegetables became a priority in our food.
➡️  I found a love for real food and less packaged foods and our meals were done in the same amount of time -sometimes even faster – compared to those ‘quick pre-packaged meals’.

➡️ I felt less overwhelmed and stressed when it came time to prepare dinner because I developed a system that worked for me and my family.

Now I take what I have learned over that time in addition to what I have learned with my certifications in nutrition and wellness coaching to help you master your own plan but in less than 10 years.
