When I first tried a matcha latte, I really enjoyed it.
Then I found out the amazing benefits of moringa powder and thought to myself that it would be really good in my matcha lattes.
SO here I am with my version of a low in sugar and easy to make matcha and moringa tea latte.
Matcha and moringa have very similar benefits compared to each other.
What is matcha?
Matcha itself is finely ground tencha leaves. One cup of matcha can equal 10 cups of green tea! This stuff is highly potent- but in a good way!
With very little caffeine and 137 times more antioxidants than regular green tea, it is no wonder that this drink has become an amazing superfood that everyone wants to consume.
What is moringa?
Moringa powder comes from the moringa plant and was discovered over a thousand years ago but it is just coming into popularity. It has amazing benefits including balancing hormones, slowing the affects of aging, helps improve digestive health, and helps nourish the skin. The best thing about matcha is that it provides an amazing natural energy boost!
Compared to matcha powder, moringa has more fiber, protein, calcium, Vitamin C, and Vitamin A. It is also a great source of protein.
Details of the recipe:
– Look for organic matcha and moringa when purchasing.
– The added cinnamon gives it a good flavor but helps boost the antioxidant power.
– Using the blender at the end of the warming helps mix it up and makes it frothy.
– I use almond milk in the recipe, but any non-dairy of your choice will still be delicious.
– If you want it sweeter, you can add in more maple syrup to your liking.
Enjoy!
Incorporating Moringa into my diet has been a game-changer; its long shelf life without nutrient loss makes it a convenient and beneficial addition.
I added Raspberry flavored collagen and it was even more delicious!!!
