My love of cashews is no secret right?! If you have been following me for some time then you know I use cashews in many things. They are so easy to use and are a good base for everything non-dairy.
When I set out to make a non-dairy dipping sauce, this was the result. Avocado cream sauce.
With a handful of ingredients, you can have a versatile sauce that can be added to just about anything.
This recipe makes about 1 to 1 ½ cups of sauce and will last for a few days in an air-tight container stored in the refrigerator. But I would be surprised if it lasted that long anyway because this stuff can go on anything!
Here are my suggesstions:
- Salad Dressing
- Dipping sauce for crackers, chips, or veggies
- Pasta sauce
- On top of roasted veggies
- Spread on top of toast
Details Of The Recipe
- I use cashews because they blend well. Another option is macadamia nuts. Be sure to soak them for at least 4 hours so they reach a really smooth consistency when blended.
- Use a medium-sized avocado but aim for about ½ cup avocado
- The recipe calls for 4 cloves of garlic but you can use more or less depending on taste.
- Use a blender or food processor to get the desired consistency. It should be smooth like a thick salad dressing.
